Humidity trend monitoring

For recording temperature and humidity trends in a room or accessible damp area, with an optional gateway when off-site monitoring matters.

Consider before choosing

  • Budget for the separate gateway if off-site alerts are the reason for buying.
  • Water resistance does not make it a standing-water leak detector or suitable for submersion.
  • Prolonged exposure above 80% RH can cause temporary reading offset according to the manufacturer; accuracy is conditional.

Key manufacturer facts

  • Bluetooth sensor records once per minute and retains more than a month of data locally. Manufacturer source
  • At 25 C and 10–90% RH the stated humidity accuracy is ±2% typical and ±4.5% maximum. Manufacturer source
  • Remote internet monitoring requires optional G1 gateway; without it the phone receives data within Bluetooth range. Manufacturer source

Separate local logging from internet access

HT.w records once per minute and stores more than a month of readings on the sensor. A phone can receive data within Bluetooth range. If checking conditions while away is the reason for buying, account for the separate G1 gateway and the connection it needs; the sensor by itself is not an internet gateway.

Read accuracy together with its conditions

The manufacturer’s humidity specification is conditional: at 25 C and 10–90% RH, typical accuracy is ±2% and maximum error is ±4.5%. The maker also describes temporary offset after prolonged exposure above 80% RH. Those conditions matter more than presenting a single accuracy number without context.

Choose it for trends rather than an on-device display

This model makes sense when a record over time or an app-based view is more useful than a visible number on a shelf. TempPro TP50 serves the simpler local-display role. Water resistance does not make HT.w a standing-water leak detector or establish that it can be submerged.
