DCD799D1 is the kit with a DCD799 hammer drill, one DCB203 2.0 Ah battery, DCB112 charger, belt hook and bag. A bare-tool DCD799B listing is a different starting point. The included battery makes the kit relevant when you do not already have a compatible battery and charger, while one battery still means planning charging breaks.
Allow for the bit and the job, not just the tool head
The manufacturer’s 6.49-inch head measurement describes the tool itself. The chuck, selected bit and working angle still affect whether you can reach the intended hole. The 1/2-inch chuck and speed range help describe its role, but they do not determine the correct anchor, fastener or load limit for a wall.
Its hammer-drill mode adds a masonry option alongside ordinary drilling and driving. It can be considered for suitable masonry drilling, but it is not a rotary hammer or a core-drilling system. Choose the bit and method for the material, and identify concealed services before drilling.
